disasters occur in Arkansas every year. These are all real events in our everyday life and without an updated written appraisal you may not get the full insured value of your pieces. In most cases you will not get any replacement cost without a true jewelry appraisal by a graduate gemologist.
At Wirt’s Jewelers we offer a special value to your jewelry appraisals. Our graduate gemologist will do an independent assessment of each piece of your jewelry and give you the most up to date market values. She uses the most current industry standard prices to insure that your jewelry is valued at true market replacement cost and not just the local economy. This is important because prices vary from location to location, state to state. What you pay in Arkansas isn’t what you will pay in other states to replace a piece.
Our graduate gemologist does every appraisal in our store. Each appraisal is done same day as the appointment. Most are finished within an hour or two of the scheduled appointment time. You are welcome to either stay and watch your appraisal being conducted or leave the items. If you would like pictures of each piece included on the appraisal form as well, we can provide this service also. Stone plotting is available as well. Each appraisal includes two copies for you and your insurance. Not only do we give you two copies of each appraisal, but we also keep a copy in our records to help insure against loss. All of this done at a minimal cost to you.
